What is Crafty Kids?
Crafty is an iOS studio for the household. In the App Store it is listed as Crafty Kids. On this site we call it Crafty. A small set of projects each week, clear steps, materials you can actually find. Make with kids, or on your own. Start at the kids craft app page or how it works.
Is there an Android version?
No. Crafty is iOS only.
Is Crafty Kids free?
The app is free to download. One project is typically free in a given week. Free projects stay open. Materials and the first step of a member project stay open so you can see what you are getting into. The rest of the library is membership. We do not print a dollar amount here; Apple shows the current plans.
Do kids get their own accounts?
No. An adult in the household signs in — Sign in with Apple, or email. Crafty is parent-guided. The adult keeps scissors, knives, ovens, glass, and hot glue. Kids may look over a shoulder. They are not the account holder.
How does the Crafty Kids subscription work?
Two products: Year of making and Month to month. Yearly is the household plan. It includes Apple Family Sharing for up to six people. Monthly is flexible; cancel anytime through Apple. A 7-day trial exists when Apple has one on the plan and your Apple ID is eligible. Membership opens every remaining step, every week, Amazon checkout for member projects, and the private studio. How do I share Crafty with my family?
Join on yearly. Then, on an iPhone in the family group: Settings → Family → Subscriptions → share Crafty. Apple’s instructions: How Family Sharing works. This shares the membership. It does not create kid logins.
How do I add the Crafty widget?
Long-press the Home Screen, tap +, search Crafty, and add This week. If a project is on the bench, the widget says so. Tap it to open the make. Sizes: small and medium on the Home Screen; rectangular and inline on the Lock Screen. The gallery name is This week. The description is “The project to make now.”
How do I cancel Crafty Kids?
Through Apple, not through a form on this website. In the app: You → Manage membership, which opens Apple’s subscription sheet. Or Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Restore purchases if you moved phones. We cannot refund an App Store period from Vineyard.
Are finish photos private?
They live on your studio shelf. You can turn a photo into a card and send it — Messages, the family thread, the iOS share sheet. Until you share a card, the picture stays with the household. We do not publish it for you. Signed-in households can tap “Put it on the table”; that submit waits for moderation and is not the default.
Does Crafty read steps aloud?
Yes, if you turn it on during a make. Speaker on the step screen. Turn it off when the room is already loud. After you hear the step, put the phone down.
What is the shopping list?
Queued projects roll into one materials list in Shop. Anyone can check items off at home. Members can open an Amazon cart when links exist. We do not promise every listing is in stock. Details: one shopping list for the week’s make.
Do you mail a Craft Box?
Not yet. There is a waitlist in Shop for a future monthly pack of this week’s free project. Until it ships, the shopping list is how supplies get to the table. If you are comparing crates, read craft kits vs a craft app.
Where are privacy and terms?

I already have an account. How do I sign in?
On first launch, choose “I already have an account,” or sign in from You. Apple or email. Signing in keeps the studio, photos, shopping list, and saved projects with the adult who holds the login.
